Cherokee Nc Poker Tournament
NO POKER RULES ROOM. The rules in this poker room - or the no rules at times; are the most outrageous and insane I've ever seen anywhere not only in American but overseas. The non-verbal action is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Obviously this invention was created by someone that has never played poker in their life. Cherokee’s epic fishing opportunities are legendary throughout Western North Carolina for a simple reason: here, you’re sure to drop your hook and catch a really good time. With fresh-running waters full of secret fishing holes, miles of freestone streams that are stocked with beautiful trout, and big-money tournaments for those who like to.
We’re excited to announce the Cherokee fishing tournaments for 2020! Cherokee boasts 30 miles of streams, making it the longest privately-owned stocked waters east of the Mississippi. For more than 50 years, Cherokee has had one of the greatest stocking programs in all of the US, with close to 300,000 rainbow, brook and brown trout stocked annually. No wonder it's known as one of the best places to fish!
Find Harrah's hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and more locations around the country. Join the fun, come out and play. Experience the thrills of poker with this fast-paced version of the classic five-card draw game without leaving the action of the casino floor. Cherokee, NC 28719.
Cherokee’s fishing tournaments offer friendly competition and big payouts, from a $3,000 purse all the way up to $20,000 in tagged fish at several tournaments. It all adds up to a lot of fun in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. And, if you’re really lucky, you may even see some elk! Just make sure you carry your permit when you fish the Qualla Boundary. You can’t fish or enter a tournament without one. Register and buy a permit online or find a licensed sales agent at a number of local shops.

Cherokee Nc Poker Tournament Schedule
I’ve been a fairly regular visitor to Cherokee’s poker room for the last few years and, for the most part, it has been a very positive experience. But they recently changed the format of all their daily tournaments to what is a very aggressive blind structure, trying to keep the duration of tournaments to as short a time as possible.
It has pretty much turned them into nothing more than crapshoots, and has really reduced the enjoyment and the incentive to play in these tournaments.
On the other side of the coin, they have added high hand and bad beat jackpots, which has made the cash games a lot more interesting, although the house rake of $8 max/hand is a little out of line, considering the lack of comped drinks. I guess being the only poker room within a 350 mile radius lets the house set the rules any way they want. It could be worse. It could be better.
